Teleporter requires the Java 2 Standard Edition Runtime Environment (JRE) version 5.0 or later.
Download the Java 2 Standard Edition Runtime Environment (JRE), release version 5.0 or later, from http://java.sun.com/j2se.
Install the JRE according to the instructions included with the release.
Teleporter requires a SMTP server to communicate to users and guest. Be sure to have an access to a mail account able to send emails.
Once downloaded, just unzip teleporter-xxx.zip to your preferred directory.
On *nix start tomcat using
{dir}/bin/startup.sh
On on Windows use
{bin}\bin\startup.bat
If everything went fine, visit
http://localhost:8080/, and you should see the login page.
Now you’re in! Enter Teleporter with user admin and password admin.
Teleporter needs only 2 settings to work, the directory to store files and the mail server to send emails.
Enter to the settings page.
Repository directoryThis is the directory where all the shipment are stored. Every file will be deleted once every recipments have downloaded his copy.
Mail serverSending emails is vital to Teleporter. Remember to send test email to verify the SMTP configuration.
The last step to use Teleporter is creating a user. Visit the users panel to manage users.
